Who we are

Opptiq is owned and operated by Creataws Ltd, a company based in Nigeria, which is responsible for your personal data. Contact: support@victoriaolamide.com. For general inquiries, email hello@victoriaolamide.com.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and, if you use it, your Google sign-in.
• Your questionnaire answers and anything you add in the optional clarification chat, such as your role, experience, skills and goals.
• The reports we generate for you, and any rating or comments you send us about them.
• If you use Tailor your CV (Pro): the text of the CV, portfolio and cover letter you add, and the job description. Your files are read on your own device and the files themselves never reach us; the text is used to write your tailored CV and cover letter, and the result is saved in your account. Your documents' text is remembered only on your own device if you tick that box.
• Your email choices (career insights, offers) and when and where you made them.
• Billing details if you buy a plan: your plan, payment reference, amount, payment method (bank transfer or Nestuge) and the receipt you upload, which may show your name, bank and the date of payment. Card payments on Nestuge (or Paystack, if we use it) are handled by those providers, and your card details never reach us.
• Your messages to Dashie, the in-app support assistant, and to our support team, and whether you found an answer helpful.
• Basic technical records needed to run the service, such as sign-in times and whether an email was delivered.

We don't collect sensitive data on purpose. Please don't put health, financial account or government ID details in your answers.

How we use it

• To create, store and show your reports, and email each finished report to you (to run the service you signed up for).
• To send career insights, free resources and a welcome email, which come with every account as stated at sign-up. Insight emails go out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and may mention a goal from your own report. You can unsubscribe any time (legitimate interest in supporting our users).
• To send special offers, only if you said yes (your consent, which you can withdraw any time).
• To confirm payments, start your plan and keep records of what you paid (to fulfil your contract and meet accounting rules).
• To answer your support questions. Dashie uses your own plan, payment and report status (never anyone else's) to answer questions about your account (to fulfil your contract).
• To keep Opptiq secure, prevent abuse and fix problems, and to improve Opptiq using your ratings and comments (legitimate interest).

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who helps us run Opptiq

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

• Supabase: our database and sign-in (hosted in Ireland, EU).
• Vercel: hosts the website (United States and worldwide).
• Google Gemini: writes your report from your answers, and some of Dashie's answers. Opptiq currently uses Gemini's free tier, under which Google may use what is sent to it to improve its products. We send only your answers (or your support question and plan status) and the job listings found, not your name or email. If you use Tailor your CV, we also send the text of the CV, portfolio and cover letter you add, which may include your name and contact details as written in them.
• Resend: sends our emails and keeps our email list (United States).
• Nestuge: takes card payments from outside Nigeria, if you pay that way.
• Paystack: may process card payments in Nigeria in future.
• Job sites (Himalayas, Arbeitnow, Jobicy, We Work Remotely, Working Nomads, Adzuna and Reed) and O*NET: we send them only the job title you entered, to find relevant listings and occupation information. Never your name or email.
• Google: if you choose to sign in with Google.

Some of these providers are outside Nigeria. We use reputable providers that protect data under their own terms and the safeguards required by law.

Who can see your reports

Only you. Reports are private to your account. Once you start a 60-day plan you are on the community leaderboard: other members can see the name you registered with, your profile photo if you added one, and how much of your plan is done (percentage, day and tasks completed); nothing else. We tell you this when you sign up. Our admin view shows how the service is running (for example your account email, the job title you entered, whether a report finished, what it cost to generate, and any rating or comments you sent) but not your other answers or what your report says.

How long we keep it

• Your account, answers and reports: until you delete them or your account.
• Email records: while you have an account. If an address bounces or reports spam, we keep a note of it so we never email it again.
• Billing records and payment receipts: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
• Support messages and Dashie questions: up to two years, so we can help you consistently and improve our answers, or until you delete your account.

Your rights and choices

• See, correct or get a copy of your data.
• Delete reports from My reports, or delete your whole account in Account settings. This removes your answers, reports and email-list entry and cancels any subscription.
• Unsubscribe from career insights or offers in Account settings or with the link in any email.
• Object to or ask us to limit how we use your data, and withdraw consent at any time.

Email support@victoriaolamide.com for anything you can't do yourself. We reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng) or the data protection authority where you live.

Cookies

Opptiq uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may also save an unfinished questionnaire on your own device so you don't lose it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, each account can only reach its own data, and secret keys stay on our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

Opptiq is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you by email or in the app if the change is significant.
